Jessica STAFFORD RDN, LD

Dietitian

From a young age I had an interest in how food affects the body. I was also interested in healthcare because my mom is a nurse. Dietetics is a perfect blend of nutrition and healthcare. I received a Bachelor’s of Science in Nutritional Science from Michigan State University and completed my dietetic internship through the Missouri Department of Health. I have worked in many settings including community, acute care and outpatient nutrition. I have worked with patients individually and in group classes. I have a personal interest in helping those with diabetes because I had an aunt who suffered with complications from diabetes. I like taking a complicated disease state and simplifying it for my patients so that they can learn to eat well while both enjoying the foods they like and managing their blood sugar.
